Election of 2009 ABU Board of Directors
Good day fellow-ABU Members.
The year 2008 is winding up and as you all know, we have to elect our ABU officers for the year 2009.
I have been tasked to head the COMELEC for the process of electing the ABU officers for 2009. I will be joined by past ABU directors Roger Ong and Butch Laurena in this task.
I am therefore, announcing that the COMELEC will accept nominations this Saturday, November 15 during our regular playing day at the CCP. Please, make sure that the ABU member you are nominating is willing to serve the organization in 2009.
The election will then be held on the following Saturday (November 22) also in CCP from say 7:30 p.m. to 9:30 p.m.. Counting should be completed before the third game is finished.
The incumbent officers are very much qualified to be elected again for 2009. In the spirit of democracy we welcome other nominations for the 2009 ABU Board. A residency of two years is required to be nominated to the Board. Members of the ABU COMELEC cannot be nominated and elected as officers.
